BELOIT HIGH SCHOOL STAR GOALTENDER TO ATTEND JETS TRAINING CAMP
Zach Woodman, who was an outstanding high school hockey goalie for Beloit, has been invited to the Janesville Jets training camp by Head Coach Joe Dibble.
Zach was named to the 2010-11 Big 8 All-Conference Boys Hockey team in his senior year.
Woodman played last season with the Alexandria Blizzard and Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and then finished the season with the Southern Oregon Spartans who play in the Northern Pacific Hockey League (NORPAC). That Spartan team played in the USA Hockey Junior A Tier III National Tournament.
Jets coach Dibble stated, "Zach is a very good goalie with big size, and we are happy he will be at our training camp competing for the number one spot."
The 6' 3", 190 pound Woodman is one of three goalies invited to the Jets training camp. Players report on August 23rd.
The Jets first first game of the 2012-13 season is Wednesday, September 12, 10:30 AM vs. Minot Minotauros at the NAHL Showcase in Blaine,MN. The Jets first home game in Janesville is Friday, September 21, 7 PM vs the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
