CHECKLISTS Preseason Check List Submit available weekend dates to the scheduler no later than 15 days after the Junior A (USHL) schedule is final. As soon as game schedule is official, distribute a schedule to players. Contact bus company and arrange times for bus departures. Contact EMT for coverage at home games. Give schedule to head referee. Send roster to Pointstreak League Administrator. Include player's name, jersey number, position, height, weight, year in school and name of attending school. League dues before November 1. Submit 10-player Protected List to Commissioner before the first game. Prepare USA Hockey registration forms. Get them signed and give to registrar for submitting to USA Hockey. Send copies of signed forms to League Commissioner. Get notebook in order with USA Hockey papers, birth certificates, insurance. Get copies of coaches' cards. Send in eligibility forms, schedule and bus schedule to schools. Make sure eligibility forms are back before first game. This also needs to be done at midseason. Send verification to League Commissioner. Home-Game Checklist Arrange for volunteers to work the admission table. Arrange for off-ice officials, including a time keeper, scorekepper, 2 penalty box officials (1 penalty box official each from the home and visiting teams). Arrange for medical personnel with a rank of EMT-B, or above, for both the Varsity and JV games. The host team should make known to the visiting team who and where the medical personnel is stationed. Station an adult at the ice sheet door to ensure that the visiting team enters and leaves the ice first and to escort any player(s) to their locker room if they have been ejected from the game. In addition to game pucks, the home team needs to supply 25 pucks during warm-up for both the home and visiting Varsity and JV teams. The National Anthem must be played prior to the first period of all regular-season Varsity games. Final scoresheet should be checked for accuracy by the scorer, coaches and team representatives. Official score keeper, team representatives and referee need to sign the score sheet. Fax or scan/email Varsity and JV scoresheets and any Referee Game Reports to League Commissioner and Pointstreak League Administrator as soon as possible after the game. Mail an original signed copy of the scoresheet and any Referee Game Report to the League Commissioner. |
