NEWSDate: Dec 28, 2011 Playing For a CauseDuring their home opener last month, the Oakland Goodlife, partnered with the Northern California Mustangs raised over $2,500 in toys through their annual pre-Christmas toy drive for underprivileged families throughout their community. The Oakland Goodlife announce their end goal of $1,500 was almost doubled, increasing last year’s numbers by $1,500. A special thanks goes out to all who participated from both clubs including fans and players. Taking a new approach this year, the Goodlife plans on sponsoring a new fundraiser every home game, all in attendance will be asked to participate by donating necessities that help underprivileged families including, but not limited too: toys, blankets, clothing, food, school supplies, etc. Every home game we will host a different fundraiser to contribute to their community. The Oakland Goodlife’s next home game will take place on January 3rd against the East Bay Jawz and will feature a blanket/sweater drive.
