The Matsu Miners outdone by Strentz and the Anchorage Bucs, 4-2
Michael Strentz went 2-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Anchorage Bucs (10-4) to a 4-2 victory over the Matsu Miners (9-7) on Monday at Mulcahy Field.He singled in the sixth inning and homered in the eighth inning.
The Matsu Miners couldn't get anything going as long as Scott Grist was on the mound. Grist held the Matsu Miners hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Ty Schlottmann was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just seven innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
