Hello Babe Ruth Families!
Even though this snow says otherwise we are just a short month away from Opening Weekend and the start of a great baseball season!
Part of our festivities for Opening Weekend is our 3rd Annual Parent Social and Silent Auction to be held on Friday, May 2nd at Schanks North (to accommodate all of our North families that came South last year). The festivities will begin at 7:00 pm and each family will receive two tickets for this event. The evening will be filled with activities including mini-golf, pool, golf simulator and bowling; appetizers; 50/50; silent auction; and lots of mixing and socializing to get to know our great Babe Ruth families.
To assist in the success of this weekend, we are asking our families to provide silent auction items for this event. We have attached letters to this email to provide to retail establishments, restaurants, or corporations that you frequent to identify ways that they can contribute and donate to our event. In the past we have had weekends at resort properties, hot air balloon rides, BBQs, golf passes and equipment, gift baskets, baseball memorabilia, iPads and other electronic equipment, paintings, margarita makers, jerseys, jewellery, photo sessions, gift cards and many other amazing items. Every donation is greatly appreciated and will be incorporated into our league events and activities.
Silent Auction items should be turned into your Club Auction Representative by Sunday, April 20th.
We are looking for two-three persons from each club to serve as Club Auction Representatives to assist with gathering auction items from your club families, distributing tickets to families, and organizing club volunteers for various activities on the night of the auction. You will be contacted by email with more information for our next organizing meeting.
