09 CAHA Tier I U18 Final

SAN JOSE - The LA Jr. Kings edged the California Wave, 4-2, to win the 2009 CAHA State Tier I U18 championship at Sharks Ice.

Beau Bennett scoring the winning goal on a power play midway through the third period, and Robert Francis gave the Jr. Kings their final margin of victory three minutes later. Ryan Frost and Mitch Hughes also scored for the Jr. Kings, who got 16 saves from Eric Chiccone.
Jordan Thomas and Alex Milhouse scored goals for the Wave, who got 24 saves from Chris Kyame.

Both teams advance to the Pacific District Regional tournament in March.

Highlights from the Los Angeles Junior Kings' 4-0 victory over the LA Selects on Sept. 7 at Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, California.

The Southern California rivals played a hard-hitting game. Kameron McCorry, Shane McColgan, Joseph Osborn and Ryan Frost scored goals for the Junior Kings, and Beau Bennett added two assists. Eric Chiccone made 14 saves for the shutout.
