CORNWALL COLTS GRANT COOPER MAKES COMMITMENT TO NCAA CLARKSON
19-year old Cornwall, ON native Grant Cooper has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division I hockey at Clarkson University in the Fall of 2017 meaning he will spend one more season in the CCHL.
The 5-11, 175 lb Cornwall Colts winger is a proven leader as he recently captained Canada East to a 4th place finish at the World Junior A Challenge in Cobourg/Whitby. As well as having strong leadership skills that every coach wishes for, Cooper has a fine overall two-way game that continues to improve, and once polished will make him even more valuable. He produces in multiple ways as he has a strong shot, above average play-making ability, a nose for the net and the ability to play the point on the power-play.
Although he has battled injuries this season, he has still posted strong numbers with 15 goals and 32 points in 24 games, putting him near the top of the league in points per game.
