HUNTSVILLE, AL – Huntsville Havoc head coach Randy Murphy announced today that the team has signed forward Tanner Shultz.

“We are excited to have Tanner on board,” Murphy said. “He played professionally before returning to school at the University of Regina, and has played against some exceptional talent over the years. He has many facets to his game and we look forward to him having an impact and being a presence on our team this season.”

Shultz (6-1, 185) played in 26 professional games in 2005-06 and 2006-07 in the UHL, ECHL and CHL. He scored one goal, recorded two assists and had 99 penalty minutes. He also played in 167 career junior games, where he scored 17 goals, added 130 assists and amassed 753 penalty minutes.

“When I decided to come back and play, the best place to start is with a championship team,” Shultz said. “I was lucky to get an offer and I am excited to get started. I hope to bring some intensity to the team, score some goals and play good defense.”
