Chuck Heeman, General Manager
Heeman, 54, joined the Rogues in October 2012 following a two-year stint with the Klamath Falls Gems of the West Coast League. Heeman was the Gems’ first General Manager, operating the team through its startup year and second season of WCL play. He made the move to Medford in to join the Rogues and guide the startup of the team under the oversight of CSH International, Inc., the team’s parent company. In addition, Chuck is responsible for the year-round operation of Harry & David Field with the assistance and consultation of the Medford Youth Baseball Society and the City of Medford.
Chuck has worked in professional sports for more than 20 years. He began his career with the Oakland Athletics in 1992 during Spring Training in Phoenix, AZ. He has served as General Manager of the MLB-affiliated Burlington (IA) Bees of the Midwest League and as GM for two independent professional teams, the Cook County (IL) Cheetahs and the Merrillville (IN) Muddogs as well as the Flint (MI) Generals professional hockey team. Chuck's teams won championships in 1992 (Bellingham Mariners, Northwest League) and 1994 (Huntsville Stars, Southern League).
During a break in his sports career Chuck served for two years (2005-06) as State Executive Director for Mothers Against Drunk Driving Arizona, and for nearly two years (2004-05) as District Director for the Phoenix (AZ) District of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He also worked for 13 years with the U.S. Postal Service and has been a writer, colmunist and editor for newspapers in Michigan and Arizona.
Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Park and Recreation Management from Arizona State University in August 2010 and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Contact Chuck at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mayra Heeman, Volunteer Administrator
Mayra, 53, joins her husband as a volunteer and as the second member of the Rogues staff. She most recently served as volunteer Director of Sales and Ticketing with the Klamath Falls Gems.
Mayra built a 25-year career in the legal field, serving as senior litigating paralegal for the law firm of Pico & White in Pomona, CA. She also hosted a weekly legal-themed radio show in Los Angeles. She is a native of the town of Costa Rica, Sinaloa, Mexico.
As a volunteer staff member, Mayra will be responsible for host families and assisting with game day operations. She is also dedicated to our Hispanic Outreach program to involve the Hispanic community in our efforts in every area.
Locally Mayra is a volunteer with a number of local organizations dedicated to fighting domestic abuse.

Griffin Boyd, Assistant General Manager
A native of Medford, Griffin Boyd is a 2013 graduate of Western Oregon University, earning a degree in Communications Studies with a minor in Sports Management. After a stint with International Sports Management, he moved back to Medford and joined the Rogues staff in November 2013.
Griff's playing career includes years with South Medford High School, the American Legion Medford Mustangs, Mt. Hood JC and WOU (he's pictured here playing 3B for the Wolves). He also played in the West Coast League for the Corvallis Knights in 2010-11.
Griff's main duties are to increase attendance through groups, fundraisers and party deck bookings and to bring new ideas to our game presentation while overseeing the game day staff. He will also take over many of the team's public and media relations duties, using his WOU training to improve the team's presence in the Rogue Valley. Bill Jacobs & Max Milander bring you the fun!
The Rogues are proud to join with ESPN 580 and Valley Immediate Care to present our 2014 Broadcast Team, Bill Jacobs and Max Milander.
A fixture in Southern Oregon TV and radio for more than 25 years, Bill Jacobs returns for another season of Rogues action. Bill (pictured left) is currently the voice of Southern Oregon University sports and Ashland High School football.
A 2014 graduate of Linfield College, Max Milander served as sports broacaster and director with KSLC 90.3, Linfield's college radio station, for three years. His broadcast duties include Wildcat baseball, football, basketball and soccer games. In addition, Max interned with Portland's KFXX 1080 "The Fan."

Paul Bogensberger Jr., Promotions and Community Outreach
"I was born in Neptune, NJ and raised in Charleson, South Carolina. After graduating early from the University of Minnesota, I went on to work for the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League and was part of the team that won the United Bowl Championship in 2013. Currently I attend Minnesota State University, Mankato for graduate school in the Sport Management program, where I plan to stay and graduate in the spring of 2015."
Paul will be a big part of our in-game show, running our music and sound program, helping our PA announcer wherever needed, and helping make sure Rowdy never wins the mascot race. He'll also help us get our players into the community and make sure you're entertained here at the ballpark. Paul joins us in mid-May.
Danya Contreras, Game Day Operations and Community Outreach
"I was born in El Paso, Texas and am currently studying Marketing at West Virginia University, where I am a dedicated member of the WVU Swimming & Diving team. Working for the El Paso Diablos over the past four years has given me exposure to a lifestyle I love and hope to live. The experience I gained working for them has given me the aspiration to be come a Director of Marketing for a professional baseball team. I look forward to working with the Medford Rogues this summer and to the new people I will meet."
Danya joins us in mid-May and will be a big part of our game day show team as well as helping the Rogues to expand our in-season community outreach. She will also assist Mayra Heeman in reaching out to the Hispanic community and bringing that community to the ballpark.
Beau Freiling, Marketing and Front Office
"I am a San Diego native with a passion for baseball. I'm a senior at Southern Oregon University in the Marketing program. I am married and love playing sports! Volleyball may be my favorite but don't tell baseball that!"
Beau joins us immediately and will be a big part of our season-long marketing program as well as one of the people who put our game show together. He'll assist Griffin Boyd with our game day staff scheduling and logistics as well. Here is Beau being much more ambitious than the rest of us.
Molly Lomax, Photography and Game Production
"I am studying Art with an emphasis in Photography and a minor in Business at Southern Oregon University. I enjoy playing sports, especially rugby."
Molly, a native of Corvallis, will be the Rogues' primary photographer in 2014, capturing images of players, fans, special events and all the fun at Harry & David Field! Molly joins the team immediately and her work will be displayed on all our social media platforms, posters and more.
Jason Nagai, Baseball Operations
"I was born and raised in Hawaii on the beautiful island of Oahu. Currently I am a junior at the University of Oregon and hope to graduate in the spring of 2015 with a major in Business Administration and minor in Economics. As a kid I always envisioned a career in the sports industry and am excited to begin that journey with the Medford Rogues. I one day aspire to work with the New York Yankees in Baseball Operations. This summer I look forward to sharing my passion and love for the game of baseball with the beautiful community of Medford."
Jason will be a great help to us during the season as he helps handle the "behind the scenes" baseball functions that need to be done daily. Between helping players get what they need to helping with travel duties, in-game contests and promotions, and more, we'll be happy to have Jason join us when he gets here in early June.
Laura Sadler, Public Relations and Outreach
"I was born and raised in Davis, California but moved to the Rogues Valley in 2008 to attend Southern Oregon University. I graduated last June with a B.A. in French Language and Literature and minors in Journalism and International Studies. For three years I was involved with the SOU student newspaper The Siskiyou and served for two years as the sports editor. I've always loved sposrts and knew that even though my playing days may not be as many as before there was no way I was going to simply walk away from the industry. I am looking forward to not only expanding my own knowledge with the Medford Rogues but also helping the club grow into the Rogue Valley's premier sports team and pillar of community stability and prosperity."
Laura has already joined the Rogues and will be our weekly reporter, updating fans throughout the spring on how our guys are doing at their respective schools. She will also help keep our players' hometown media and school Sports Information Directors up to date on how "our guys" are doing throughout the summer. You'll see her work in our Wednesday updates, covering the previous week's games for all our guys throughout the country.
Talyn Sands, Game Day Operations and Management
"I am from the small town of Belleville, IL, which is located close to St. Louis, MO. After high school I moved to Columbia, MO to continue my education with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism with an emphasis in Sport Management at the University of Missouri. I spent most of my time there working with the University of Missouri Athletics, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and various other extracurricular activities. I have always envisioned a career in sports and am excited to contribute my skills and passion to the Medford Rogues!"
Talyn joins us in early June and will help lead our game day crew as well as working in many of our office, ticket system and management functions.
Trent Walker, Operations and Game Management
"I was born in Medford but I've lived in Ohio and Seattle. I have a passion for all sports and I want to learn more about all the aspects of sports and the business of sports management."
A junior at the University of Oregon, Trent is majoring in Geography and Business Management. His duties during the season will include helping to manage our game day staff, in-game promotions and stadium operations. Trent joins us part time immediately and full-time in early June.
Kristin Wyatt, Public Relations and Community Outreach
"I am a Rogue Valley native and attended Eagle Point High School where I payed volleyball, basketball and ran track. I now attend the University of Alabama at Huntsville where I play NCAA D2 volleyball and study Communication Arts. I'm excited to be a part of the Medford Rogues and I'm looking forward to learning more about public relations in the sports industry."
As a Rogue Valley native Kristin will be invaluable in helping with our community outreach efforts and connecting the Rogues with schools, media outlets and other entities throughout the summer. She'll also be a big part of our in-game show and part of the family-friendly atmosphere at Harry & David Field. Kristin returns home in mid-May and will join us full-time just before the season starts.
Savannah Young, Promotions and Public Relations
"I am from Boise, Idaho. For the last four years I have been studying Mass Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing at Idaho State University. I love sports and have previous work experience in athletics."
During her time with the Idaho State Bengals athletic department, Savannah has gained experience with in-game promotions and the kind of "show" we strive to put on here at the Rogues. She'll be a big part of our in-game production as well as a big help in getting information out to the media. Savannah will join us in mid-May.
