Ian Church, General Manager

Church, 33, joins the Rogues after playing for and graduating from Stetson University and spending six years as a minor league player. After his playing career, Church put his focus on the overall development of baseball players, their athleticism, and their preparation to compete. He has successfully opened two indoor athletic facilities: ProSwing of Port Chester in Westchester, NY and most recently Pro Performance Athletics in Mount Pleasant, SC. 

As a player, Church had his best year in 2006, belting 31 home runs for the Frontier League's Kalamazoo Kings, where he was named Baseball America's "Independent Player of the Year," Frontier League MVP and All Star Game MVP as well as winning the league's All Star Game Home Run Derby. He has also played in the Mexican Pacific League with Los Algodoneros de Guasave, spent four years with various Northern League teams and played high-A ball in the Florida State League with the St. Louis Cardinals organization.

Ian is married to Viktoria and they have a one-year-old son, Vladi.

Bill Jacobs & Emma Tiedemann

The Rogues are proud to join with ESPN 580 and Valley Immediate Care to present our 2015 Broadcast Team, Bill Jacobs and Emma Tiedemann.

A fixture in Southern Oregon TV and radio for more than 25 years, Bill Jacobs returns for another season of Rogues action. Bill (pictured left) is currently the voice of Southern Oregon University sports and Ashland High School football.

A native of Dallas, Texas and senior at the University of Missouri, Emma has been broadcasting since age 15, introduced to the business by her grandfather, legendary North Texas broadcaster Bill Mercer. At Missouri, Emma broadcasts Missouri sports including the 2014 Texas A&M - Missouri football game and the 2014 Cotton Bowl. In 2014 Emma spent the summer in Alaska as the play-by-play voice of the Alaska Summer League's Mat-Su Miners.


Our Staff

Steffen Roennfeldt - Official Scorer

Steffen Roennfeldt is the Medford Rogues official scorer and is entering his third season with the club.  Hailing from Tuebingen, Germany, He played baseball for 10 years with the Tuebingen Hawks in the highest division in German baseball. Roennfeldt is also a registerd official scorer for the Germany Baseball Federation.  During games, Roennfeldt runs the PointStreak program that tracks player statistics and posts them online.  

BG Gould - Scoreboard Operator

There's only one word to describe BG... Legend.  BG Gould is a local sports enthusiast as well as a legend in his own way and most importantly the Rogues official scoreboard operator.  He is also an accomplished statitiscian and makes sure to keep our official scorekeeper on his toes.

Ryan Hess - Public Address Announcer

Ryan Hess is entering his third season with the Rogues as our Public Announcer.  Born and raised just up the road in Grants Pass, Ryan graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1990 and completed his studies at Portland State University in 1994.  He lived in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles before finally coming back to Grants Pass.  Ryan has PA'd many different teams and events in the Rogue Valley and has worked in radio for over a decade in the Rogue Valley.  When he's not sharing his voice with the valley, Ryan works as the Community Relations Director for Brookdale Retirement Services in Grants Pass.
