Team Haywood Wins Inaugural NBL Canada All-Star Game

(Halifax, NS) Team Haywood won the National Basketball League of Canada Rogers All-Star Game by a score of 164-155 in front of 2,603 fans.

 

Leading Team Haywood was the Oshawa Power’s Brandon Robinson with 38 points. Robinson was named the Most Valuable Player of the All-Star game. The Moncton Miracle’s Trayvon Lathan had 27 points in Team Haywood’s win, followed by Tyrone Levett with 24.

 

“Winning MVP of anything is a really great feeling, but winning the honour among players as talented as those we saw here today is extra special,” said Robinson, “Participating in All-Star Weekend was a great opportunity for me.”

 

The Halifax Rainmen’s Lawrence Wright led Team Smith with 29 points, followed by captain Eddie Smith with 19. NBL Canada MVP Gabe Freeman chipped in with 18 points, while Morgan Lewis added 16.
