Spokane Showcase ResultsWinter Showcase Recap
The NORPAC Winter Showcase completed on Sunday at the Eagles Ice Arena in Spokane, Washington. The Billings Bulls was the only team to finish the Showcase 4-0. The Bulls defeated River City (3-2OT), Puget Sound (6-2), NORPAC Team (8-0), and Seattle (3-2OT). The Seattle Totems, Helena Bighorns, Yellowstone Quake and the Missoula Maulers finished the Showcase 3-1. Southern Oregon Spartans and the Butte Roughriders finished the weekend 2-2. The Eugene Generals went 1-3 in Spokane, and the Puget Sound Tomahawks was the only team not to win a game at the Showcase. The America West Division won seven of the nine games on Friday evening. The Totems and the Jaguars were the only teams to earn victories for the Pacific Division. The Seattle Totems had to play the best two teams for the America West Division on Saturday. The Totems beat the Maulers 4-3 in overtime with Parker Eliot scoring the game-winning goal. The most anticipated game of the weekend was the Totems and the Bighorns match up in the final game on Saturday. The Totems were out shot 45-17, but behind the goaltending of Sean Buckley the Totems beat the Bighorns 4-2. The America West Division posted a 3-2 record against the Pacific Division on Sunday. Billings, Helena and Missoula were victorious in their match ups. The Pacific Division improved from last years 18-2 performance in Billings, Montana with seven victories against the America West this year. The Spokane community did a great job hosting the event and volunteers put in long hours to make sure the event went on without a hitch. Scouts came from all over the country to see if a NORPAC Player can help their team in the future.
