NewsDate: Feb 27, 2010 2010 NORPAC League Awards Announced
The Northern Pacific Hockey League has announced the 2009/2010 League Awards. League MVP Adam Johnson (Helena Bighorns) This is Johnson third season with the Bighorns and he help the Bighorns to a League best 43-5 record this season. Johnson finished third in scoring with 91 points. Johnson's 45 goals was the most in the league and his 46 assists was seventh best in the league. In Johnson's three seasons, with the Bighorns he has; 138 games played with 89 goals, 98 assists and 187 points. Rookie of the Year Chris Rinaldi (Yellowstone Quake) Rinaldi led the Quake in scoring in his rookie year and finished sixth in the League in scoring with 89 points. Rinaldi had 42 goals and 38 assists this season in 44 games played. Rinaldi helped the Quake earn a second seed with a 34-14 record in the America West Division.
Scott Cunningham (Helena Bighorns) Cunningham entered his sixth season with the Bighorns this season leading them to a 43-5 record this season. Cunningham lead the Bighorns to their sixth division title under Cunningham. The Bighorns have won 4 of the last 5 Cascade Cups, and the Bighorns look to win their fifth this season under Cunningham. Referee of the Year Jerry Delcampo Delcampo was voted by the coaches as the best referee in NORPAC this season. Congratulations on being named the Referee of the Year.
