Quake vs Bighorns Division Final

The Yellowstone Quake will host the Helena Bighorns in the America West Division Finals starting on Tuesday, March 2^nd. The Quake advanced to the America West Finals by sweeping the Missoula Maulers in the Division Semi-Finals. The Bighorns advanced to the Division Finals by sweeping the Billings Bulls in the Division Semi-Finals.

The Bighorns won the season series 6-3 over the Quake. These two teams last met February 6^th and 7^th with the Quake winning 2-1 on the sixth, and the Bighorns winning on the 7^th 4-3. Last year, the Bighorns beat the Quake 3-0 in the America West Division Finals. The Bighorns have won the last four out of five Cascade Cups.

League MVP Adam Johnson has 17 points with nine goals and eight assists against the Quake. Rudy Pino and Cody Hess both have eight goals against the Quake in the nine games play. Zach Maxwell (11), Cody Hess (10), Kevin Clark (10) and Nolan Grauer (10) all have double-digit points against the Quake. Ryan Sutliffe and Nic Wackerly were 6-3 with 3.11 goals against average and 90.2 save percentage.

Chris Rinaldi leads the Quake in scoring against the Bighorns with 11 points having eight goals and three assists. Kory Sosnowski is the only other Quake player with double-digits against the Bighorns with ten points.  Alex Larson and Alex Steidler were 3-6 with 4.22 goals against average and 88.9 save percentage.

The Bighorns out scored the Quake 38 to 28 in the nine games played. The Bighorns had 14 goals on 67 advantages for a 20.9 powerplay percentage. The Quake had 7 goals on 51 advantages for a 13.7 powerplay percentage. The Bighorns outshot the Quake 341 to 285.
