NewsDate: Jan 04, 2012 NORPAC Teams Ready for Playoff Push
After the holiday break, the NORPAC is back in full swing as teams are back in action. The battle for playoff positioning is in full swing as only a few points separate most teams. The Southern Oregon Spartans currently are in first place with 42 points, but the Seattle Totems have the best winning percentage at 85% since they have played 8 fewer games than the Spartans. The NORPAC gets even more interesting as only 4 points currently separate third place from fifth. Currently the Vancouver Victory sits in the number three spot with 30 points in 29 games. Yellowstone is sitting in fourth place with 28 points in 26 games played, while Eugene will be a team to watch. Although the Generals are sitting in fifth place with 26 points in only 22 games, they currently sit with the 3rd best winning percentage in the league. West Sound and Glacier will also be looking to make a long run as they look to take advantage of every available point in the second half of the season. One thing is for certain in the NORPAC this season, the overall league parity is one of the best in the nation. Any team can win on any given night this season, which has made for an exciting first half. After a holiday break, the teams are ready to get back in action to make a run for the playoffs and a NORPAC championship. The way the season has gone so far, it is anyone’s game.
