Toronto Lakeshore falls to Milton in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Milton Icehawks' Alex Riche scored 2:15 into overtime to beat the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, 3-2 (OT).

 

Milton was led by Riche, who finished with one goal.

The Icehawks stifled Toronto Lakeshore's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Milton also got points from Kane Elliot, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Shane Bennett, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Milton received assists from Cooper Richards, Jeremy Gottzmann, and Ryan Burns, who contributed one a piece.

The Patriots were helped by Michael Prapavessis, who had one goal. Prapavessis scored 12:59 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Marcus Rose picked up the assist. Toronto Lakeshore also got a goal from Nathan Feric as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Tyler Enns, Jacob Hayhurst, and Brandon Willett, who each chipped in one.

Tyler Lewis rejected 25 shots on goal for Milton. The Icehawks totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. For Milton, Richards and Burns were ejected from the contest. Jeremy Helvig recorded 21 saves for Toronto Lakeshore. The Patriots incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
