BENNETT NAMED CJHL 1ST STAR OF MONTH
The CJHL 3 Stars for the month of November 2013 are forwards Shane Bennett (Milton Icehawks, OJHL), Tad Kozun (Nipawin Hawks, SJHL) and Brennen Dubchak (Espanola Rivermen, NOJHL).
1st STAR – SHANE BENNETT, F, Milton Icehawks, OJHL (10 GP, 15 G, 9 A, 24 PTS, 2.4 PPG)

Shane Bennett scored 15 goals and 24 points in 10 games played throughout November. Bennett recorded points in all 10
games during the month, including a six game goal scoring streak that saw him notch 11 of his 15 goals. By the end of
November, he had jumped to the top of the OJHL goal scoring charts with 26 goals and second in the overall OJHL scoring
race with 46 points. Shane Bennett (Grand Island, NY) registered five point outings twice, while potting a hat trick three times
to go along with two game‐winning goals.
2nd STAR – TAD KOZUN, F, Nipawin Hawks, SJHL (13 GP, 15 G, 5 A, 20 PTS, 1.54 PPG)
Tad Kozun posted 15 goals and 5 assists in 13 games played over the month of November. SJHL goaltenders were stingy last
month as no other player recorded more than 8 goals throughout November. Kozun (Nipawin, SK) had six multi‐goal games,
including a hat trick. He's threatening to run away with the SJHL scoring title, sitting with 25 goals and 12 assists in 24 games
at month’s end.
3rd STAR – BRENNEN DUBCHAK, F, Espanola Rivermen, NOJHL (9 GP, 4 G, 16 A, 20 PTS, 2.22 PPG)
Brennen Dubchak recorded points in each of the 9 games played in November, racking up 4 goals and 16 assists for 20 points.
Among his tallies was a game‐winner in double overtime, and he also chipped in by setting up three more game winning
markers last month. Dubchak (Kenora, ON) wrapped up November on a 10‐game point streak and second overall in NOJHL
offensive production with 44 points. He was also tied for second in the league in goals, assists and power play tallies with 20,
24 and six respectively.
