MARCHMENT RECEIVES POM AWARD
Prior to Monday night's Cobourg Cougars game, rookie Mason Marchment was honoured with his OJHL Gongshow Gear North-East Conference Player-of-the-Month Award.
On-hand for the presentation (left to right - photo credit: Andy Corneau/OJHL Images) was Cobourg Cougars General Manager Brent Tully and OJHL Manager of Hockey Operations, Brent Garbutt. Marchment, who recorded 13 goals in 11 games played during Januaryn to win the award, was presented with a commemorative award from the OJHL and will receive an apparell package courtesy of Gongshow Gear, the Official Lifestyle Hockey Apparell of the OJHL.
The Cougars in a race for post-season positioning as the season's end rapidly approaches, would play a hard-fought game but fell in overtime to the streaking Georgetown Raiders 3-2.
