Newmarket hangs on, beats Trenton 1-0
The Newmarket Hurricanes took the lead against the Trenton Golden Hawks in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 1-0 victory.
A goal 6:30 into the the first period by Sam Hu proved to be the game winner, and powered Newmarket to the victory Kyle Stephan assisted on the tally.
The Hurricanes were boosted by Bo Bessette, who turned in a shutout with 41 saves. Bessette managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.17 prior to the game.
xNewmarket was sparked by Hu, who tallied one goal.
