Trenton downs Whitby in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

The win moved Trenton to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.
The Golden Hawks got the win with help from a great game by Danny Liscio, who had two goals and one assist. Liscio scored the first of his two goals at 12:09 into the second period to make the score 4-4. Liscio's next tally made the score 5-5 with 1:14 left in the third period.
Others who scored for Trenton included Dylan Savory, Zach de Concilys, and Hunter Fargey, who each put in one. In addition, Trenton received assists from Tyler Donaldson, who had two and Tyler Mayea and Jason Zaleski, who each chipped in one.
Whitby's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Trenton power plays.
The Fury were led by Ryan Kirkup, who had one goal and two assists. Kirkup scored 18:20 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Trenton. Patrick McAuliffe picked up the assist. Whitby also had goals scored by Marcus Crawford, Jeff Murray, Greg Milner, and Marco Azzano, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Whitby were Mitch Emerson, who had two and Mike Panowyk, Henry Thompson, and Adam Clements, who contributed one a piece.
Connor Hughes made nine saves before being replaced by Denny Dubblestyne, who took the win and made 16 saves. Trenton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Golden Hawks, Brian Hurlimann was ejected from the game. Whitby's Tyler Feaver stopped 23 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Fury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
