Wellington holds on for 4-2 win against Cobourg

Wellington made the score 4-1 on a goal by Erick Delaurentis at 18:23 in the third period, and Cobourg got as close as 4-2 when Kieran Milne scored 19:08 into the third period.
The win moved the Dukes to down 2-1 in the best of seven series.
Wellington was led by Andrew McCann, who tallied one goal and one assist. McCann scored 14:16 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Wellington. Alex Carnevale assisted on the tally.
The Dukes kept the Cougars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Nathan Perry made 34 saves on 38 shots.
Wellington additionally got points from Carnevale, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Mike Robinson also scored for Wellington. Other players who recorded assists for Wellington were Jacob Panetta, Abbott Girduckis, Joe McKeown, and Steven Deeg, who contributed one a piece.
Wellington was unable to stop Cobourg from sending pucks towards the net, and the Cougars eventually piled up 39 shots on goal.
Cobourg also got a goal from Jake Emilio as well. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Rylee McKinnon and Landon Schiller, who each chipped in one.
The Dukes' Tyson Teichmann stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced. Wellington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities. Cobourg incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
