MIDENSKY COMMITS TO RYERSON
Georgetown Raiders defenceman Stephen Midensky (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Ryerson University Rams beginning with the 2014-15 OUA season.
The 19-year old native of Burlington, Ontario kicked off his Junior 'A' career playing two games for his hometown Cougars out of the Burlington Eagles Midget 'AAA' program in 2010-11. He would join the Markham Waxers full-time in 2011-12, but after 28 points in 35 games played from the blueline, Midensky officially signed with the OHL's Kitchener Rangers and joined the club to finish out the year. Last season, Midensky was off to the QMJHL, splitting the year between the Quebec Remparts and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Returning to the OJHL this season with the Georgetown Raiders, Midensy recorded 21 points in 50 games played and notched two goals during the club's first round sweep of the Milton Icehawks.
Congratulations to Stephen and best of luck as he closes out his OJHL career!
