Aurora falls to Cobourg in overtime, 1-0 (OT)

Nick Neal gave the Cobourg Cougars a 1-0 (OT) victory over the Aurora Tigers when he scored 14:05 into the extra period.

 

After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Aurora faces elimination next time out.

Nathan Perry frustrated the Tigers' offense all game, and stopped 35 shots en route to a shutout. Perry certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.52 entering the contest.

Aurora was unable to stop Cobourg from sending pucks towards the net, and the Cougars eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

 

The Tigers forced Cobourg goalie Perry to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Aurora did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

The Cougars incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Kevin Entmaa made 37 saves for the Tigers on 38 shots. Aurora registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
