The Belleville, Ontario native joined the club midway through this season after spending the previous four-plus years in the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Belleville Bulls, Erie Otters, London Knights, Mississauga Steelheads and Kitchener Rangers.  During his OHL years, Teichmann captured a silver medal as a member of Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, won a gold medal with Team Canada's Under-18 Team at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in Czech Republic and Slovakia, and was a member of the 2011-12 London Knights OHL Championship squad.

Despite joining the Dukes late this season, Teichmann managed to put up a league-leading .925 save percentage, as well as the fourth best goals against average, 2.53, to go along with a 13-7-5 record.  Teichmann was also named to the OJHL North-East Conference All-Star Team that competed at the 2012 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge that was held in Terrebonne, Quebec.

"Tyson has provided us with championship level goaltending and is a very competitive athlete," said Dukes General Manager and Head Coach Marty Abrams.  "We are thrilled that he is continuing his hockey career while attending a great program like St Thomas University. I expect Tyson will be a fantastic addition to the Tommies and wish him all the best moving forward."

Congratulations to Tyson and best of luck at the Dudley-Hewitt Cup!
