The Aurora Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Cobourg Cougars on the way to a 2-1 win.

A goal by Drake Board put Aurora up 2-0 in the third period, but Cobourg pulled to within one on Liam Grande's tally 19:08 into the third period.

The win by the Tigers clinched the best of seven series at 4-3.

Aurora's Andy Munroe was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 46 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Munroe will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

The Cougars were unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Aurora eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Aurora also got a goal from Adam DiBrina as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Curtis Warren, who had one.

Cobourg's offense rang up 47 shots on the Tigers' net.

More assists for Cobourg came via Jake Emilio and Connor Hogg, who each chipped in one.

Aurora incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities. The Tigers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and DiBrina was ejected from the game. The Cougars' Nathan Perry stopped 32 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Cobourg incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
