St. Michael's Buzzers forward C.J. Shugart (photo credit - Mike Ivall/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the  William College Ephs beginning with the 2014-15 NESCAC season.

The Toronto, Ontario native was a product of the Toronto Nationals 'AAA' organization, playing his minor midget season in 2009-10 and promptly being selected by the Peterborough Petes in the 6th round, 108th overall, of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.  Deciding on the school-route, Shugart chose to kick-off his junior career the following season as a member of the Villanova Knights.  Although only recording 6 points in 40 regular season gamees, the lanky forward got his first taste of Junior 'A' action, as well as his first taste of playoff action with a lengthy post-season run.  Following the season, the Knights franchise moved to Orangeville and Shugart was traded back to Toronto and the St. Michael's Buzzers.

He would spend the next three years (2011-14) with the Buzzers organization, increasing his offensive output and leadership each year along the way.  Shugart registered seasons of 23, 43 and 48 points respectively and tasted his greatest success in 2012-13 while helping lead the Buzzers to their first OJHL Championship since 2006 with a thrilling seven game series victory versus Newmarket.

Congratulations to C.J. and best of luck in the NCAA!
