Trenton Golden Hawks forward Matt Thompson (photo credit - Amy Deroche/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Adrian College Bulldogs beginning with the 2014-15 NCHA season.

The Alliston, Ontario native joined the OJHL as an 18-year old member of the Orangeville Flyers in 2012-13 after spending a couple of seasons with his hometown Junior 'C' Alliston Hornets.  Thompson finished fourth on the club in scoring with 15 goals and 34 points in 43 regular season games played.  After getting off to an even better start this season, registering 25 points in 20 games for the Flyers, he was dealt to the Golden Hawks for their playoff push.  He would lead the Hawks in scoring with 47 assists and 68 points, including a 14 point December that saw him named runner-up as the OJHL Gongshow Gear North-East Conference Player-of-the-Month.  Thompson's 47 helpers tied him for the fourth best total in the entire OJHL.

Congratulations to Matt and best of luck in the NCAA!
