COCCIMIGLIO NAMED CHL PLAYER OF WEEK
Former Burlington Cougar Brandon Coccimiglio (photo credit - Matt Santos/Arizona Sundogs), now with the Arizona Sundogs, was named CHL Player of the Week for his recent performance.
The Burlington, Ontario native played two seasons in the OJHL as a member of his hometown Cougars from 2003-05. After recording eight points as a 16-year old in 2003-04, Coccimiglio registered 21 goals and 42 points in 38 regular season games played during 2004-05 to finish fifth in scoring on the club.

The Central Hockey League announced today that Arizona Sundogs forward Brandon Coccimiglio has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending March 30, 2014.

The 26-year-old forward helped the Sundogs to points in all three games last week finishing with a 2-0-1 record. In the three games, Coccimiglio had four goals and four assists and was a +4.
In Wednesday’s shootout loss to Wichita, the Burlington, Ontario native had two goals and two assists. He then scored a goal and had two helpers in his team’s come-from-behind overtime win on Friday and then scored the game winning goal in Saturday’s season finale, a 5-3 win over the Thunder.
On the season, Coccimiglio has 17 goals and 24 assists for 41 points in 25 games with the Sundogs. The forward started the season in Tulsa where he totaled 18 points (4-14=18) in 14 games giving him 59 points (25-34=59) in 39 games this season.
