The NCAA Frozen Four is set and 34 CJHL alumni will be participating in the NCAA Championship. On April 10th – 12th, Boston College, the University of Minnesota, Union College and the University of North Dakota will tangle for the NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Championships. CJHL alumni competing in the championship will account for 32% of the final four playing rosters.

“Congratulations to all the teams making it to the Frozen Four NCAA Division I National Championships”, said CJHL Executive
Director Rick Morocco. “Good luck to all of our CJHL alumni playing in the tournament. To have one third of the players playing
in the NCAA Championships coming from the CJHL, just reinforces the number of players our member leagues are developing
and advancing to experience the next level of hockey.” 

The thirty four (34) CJHL alumni played in six (6) CJHL leagues including the AJHL, BCHL, CCHL, MJHL, OJHL and SJHL.

Leading the way with the most CJHL alumni is Union College with fourteen (14) players on their roster followed closely by the University of North Dakota who have thirteen (13) CJHL alumni. Boston College has four (4) former CJHL players and the University of Minnesota has three (3). Additionally, nineteen (19) CJHL alumni played in the BCHL, while four (4) alumni played in each of the following leagues AJHL, MJHL, OJHL, CCHL and two (2) alumni played in the SJHL.

In 2013, the Yale Bulldogs upset the Quinnipiac Bobcats to capture the 2013 NCAA Division I National Championship with four (4) CJHL alumni on the roster. Quinnipiac and Yale combined for nineteen (19) CJHL alumni in the 2013 NCAA Championship Game.

In total, thirty‐two (32) CJHL alumni played in the 2013 Frozen Four NCAA Championship.
