Pickering Panthers captain Mike Walker (photo credit - Gary Keys/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Elmira College Soaring Eagles beginning with the 2014-15 ECAC West season.

After two years (2010-12) playing at the U.S. Prep School, Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Massachusetts, Mike Walker joined the OJHL midway through the 2012-13 season as a member of the Trenton Golden Hawks.  Acquired from the CCHL's Cornwall Colts, Walker was a key late-season pick-up that helped the Hawks capture the OJHL regular season title.  Following the successful campaign, Walker was traded to his hometown, joining the Pickering Panthers this past season, where he would be named the club's captain.  The quick forward would not disappoint, finishing second on the team in scoring with 25 goals and 48 points in 50 regular season games played, while helping the Panthers clinch their first playoff berth since 2008-09.  Walker added another four points in five post-season contests to lead the club in scoring and close out his junior career.

Congratulations to Mike and best of luck in his collegiate career!
