Trenton Golden Hawks forward Nick Santoro (photo credit - Amy Deroche/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Robert Morris University Colonials beginning with the 2016-17 Atlantic Hockey season.
The Maple, Ontario native recently joined the OJHL this past season with the Golden Hawks after winning a CCHL title as a member of the Cornwall Colts in 2012-13. A member of the Mississauga Senators Minor Midget 'AAA' program, Santoro would get the call and play a single game for the Vaughan Vipers in 2010-11 and following the season was selected by the Barrie Colts in the 7th round, 123rd overall, of the 2011 OHL Priority Selection. An Honour Roll student, Santoro has won numerous awards, including the Pierre James Award for perseverance and competitive spirit while with the Senators.
This past year, Santoro 13 goals and 26 points in 49 regular season games played for the Golden Hawks, while also serving as one of the club's alternate captains. The strong, physical winger added four points in 12 post-season contests to finish the year.
Congratulations to Nick on the achievement and best of luck in the rest of his junior career!
