The Orangeville, Ontario native kicked-off his OJHL career playing five games as an affiliated 16-year old midget with his hometown Crushers in 2009-10, recording his first two junior assists.  The following year Adams joined the loop fulltime as a member of the Collingwood Blackhawks, recorind two goals and four points in 42 games played during the club's final season of operation.  He returned home in 2011-12, joining the new Orangeville Flyers that had recently move from being the Villanova Knights.  Adams would post his best offensive season at home, recording 19 assists to lead the club's blueliners, while also picking up 73 penalty minutes.  He was on the move once again in 2012-13, joining the defending regular season champion Georgetown Raiders.  Adams would record similar statistics, notching 18 points in 43 games played, while also providing a physical edge and finishing second on the team with 118 penalty minutes, the 10th highest total in the OJHL.  His performance throughout the season also saw him earn a spot on the OJHL West Division All-Star Team that competed at the 2012 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge that was held in Wellington, Ontario.

This past year saw the now well-travelled Adams on the move three times, ultimately finding his way to the Whitby Fury in early December after playing for both the Victoria Grizzlies in the BCHL and Yarmouth Mariners in the MHL.  Adams closed out his Junior 'A' career, recording 5 points in 18 contests for the Fury.
