WALMAN LEADS OJHL CHARGE AT NHL DEVELOPMENT CAMPS
Jake Walman (photo credit - Dan Hickling) of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens headlines a list of 84 current and former OJHL players that are attending NHL Development (Rookie) Camps this July across North America.
The OJHL recently had its most successful NHL Draft since 2008 with four players selected, including Walman to the St. Louis Blues, Michael Prapavessis of the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots to the Dallas Stars, Dylan Sikura of the Aurora Tigers to the Chicago Blackhawks and Jake Evans of the St. Michael's Buzzers to the Montreal Canadiens. The four picks represents the third best total all-time for the OJHL behind both the 2007 and 2008 NHL Entry Drafts when five OJHL stars were selected by NHL clubs.
This summer three of the four picks and a slew of OJHL alumni will be attending the NHL Development Camps for 28 of the 30 NHL clubs.
