TONGE COMMITS TO PRINCETON
A few months after his brother and Vees star Alex Tonge committed to Robert Morris University, Kingston Voyageurs rookie forward Colin Tonge (photo courtesy of Kingston Voyageurs) has confirmed his commitment to join the Princeton University Tigers beginning with the 2017-18 ECAC season.
The Kingston, Ontario native joins the Voyageurs this season out of the Greater Kingston Jr. Frontenacs Minor Midget 'AAA' program, where he recorded 28 goals and 48 points in 35 games played last season. Following his successful minor midget year, Tonge was selected by the Owen Sound Attack in the 8th round, 148th overall, of the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.
One of a new crop of Vees rookies, Tonge and the Voyageurs will make their season debut versus the Orangeville Flyers on September 11.
