Kingston boosted by Penta's play in net, beats Wellington 5-1

Matt Penta had a standout game with 35 saves, and the Kingston Voyageurs beat the Wellington Dukes 5-1.
Matt Hoover had two goals to lead Kingston to victory. Hoover found the back of the net 17:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kingston and again while on the power play 14:12 into the second to make the score 5-0 Kingston.
The Voyageurs' penalty kill excelled, as Kingston gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.
The Voyageurs forced Wellington goalie Taylor Welsh to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. Kingston could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.
Kingston also got points from Cole Bolton, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Joey Rutkowski, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Spencer Green, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Kingston received assists from Ryan Watson, who had two and Josh Hicks, Zachary Emelifeonwu, Colin Tonge, and Adam Moodie, who each chipped in one.
The Voyageurs were unable to stop the Dukes from sending pucks towards the net, and Wellington eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.
Kingston registered two goals on four power play opportunities. Welsh recorded 41 saves for the Dukes. Wellington incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
