The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) is pleased to announce that the Ontario Junior Hockey League's Cobourg Cougars have completed the OHAHelps/SafeTALK training, developed by LivingWorks.

This past Sunday (September 28, 2014) at the Cobourg Community Centre in Dundas, players and staff took part in the program which is designed to get participants to think and interact with each other on the topics of suicide and suicide prevention. The day turned out to be a great success.

SafeTALK facilitator CeciliaMarie Flynn took the group through a series of modules designed to get participants to think and interact with each other during the clinic.

The OHA Board of Directors along with OHA Staff Members attended the SafeTALK program on October 9, 2013, as part of the OHA’s commitment to their program.

For more information on OHA HELPS and SafeTALK or to find out how your team or community group can become involved with the program please contact Wendy MacDonald at wmacdonald@ohahockey.org or 519-622-2402 ext. 0.
