BRADY COMMITS TO ROBERT MORRIS
Kingston Voyageurs forward Adam Brady (photo credit - Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Robert Morris University Colonials beginning with the 2015-16 Atlantic Hockey season.
The 19-year old Delhi, Ontario native got his OJHl start as a 15-year old affiliate from the Brantford 99ers Minor Midget 'AAA' squad in 2010-11. Brady captained that squad and got the call to play three games as a member of the nearby Hamilton Red Wings, featuring CJHL Player of the Year, Zach Hyman. He would notch his first junior goal and joined the squad fulltime in 2011-12.
Brady would spend the next two seasons as a member of the Red Wings, improving his offensive output each year. He finished fifth on the club in scoring with 22 points in 2011-12 and followed that up with a 45 point campaign in 2012-13 to finish second and earn a spot on Team East that competed at the 2012 CJHL Prospects Games that were held in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, falling 8-6 to Team West. However, the 45 points were achieved in just 40 games played as Brady left Hamilton to join the Caledonia Corvairs Junior 'B' club to finish the season.
During the off-season, Brady was moved to Kingston, joining the perennially contending Vees. The diminutive forward continued his upward progression, setting career highs with 21 goals and 60 points in 51 regular season contests to finish third on the club in scoring, while helping the Voyageurs capture the OJHL regular season crown for the first time since 2010.
Thus far this season, Brady is set to obliterate his previous bests set last season, already leading the league with 14 goals and 21 points in just 10 games played at the time of his commitment.
Congratulations to Adam and we look forward to watching you finish your OJHL career!
