BOLTON COMMITS TO ADRIAN
Kingston Voyageurs forward Cole Bolton has confirmed his commitment to join the Adrian College Bulldogs beginning with the 2015-16 NCHA season.
The Flinton, Ontario native got his first taste of the OJHL back in 2010-11 when he played one regular season and one playoff game for the OJHL Champion Wellington Dukes as an affiliate from the Quinte Red Devils Midget 'AAA' squad. Prior to that season, Bolton was selected by the Belleville Bulls in the 11th round, 203rd overall, of the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.
The following season, Bolton made the full-time jump to Wellington and would record 11 points in 41 games as a rookie. After only seven games played in 2012-13, he would leave the team and join the nearby Picton Pirates Junior 'C' squad, where he helped lead them to the EBJCHL Championship, averaging two points/game during the post-season run. Returning to the OJHL, Bolton moved down the road to Wellington's divisional rival in Kingston and made an immediate impact with his new squad. Playing with an edge that saw him lead the Vees with 107 penalty minutes, the lanky forward also notched 22 regular season points to help Kingston capture the regular season title before being upset by Aurora in the Conference Championship.
Bolton has continued his progression this season, more than doubling his offensive output, with 18 goals, 27 assists and 45 points in 46 games played, to sit third on the team in scoring, while continuing to provide a physical presence.
Congratulations to Cole on the commitment and best of luck during his final junior playoff run!
