BEVILACQUA COMMITS TO CANISIUS
Buffalo Jr. Sabres defenceman Michael Bevilacqua (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Canisius College Golden Griffins beginning with the 2017-18 Atlantic Hockey season.
The Hamburg, New York native, who was captain most of this season with the Jr. Sabres U18 program, played 21 regular season games for the club, posting 2 goals and 2 assists, while helping Buffalo clinch the eighth and final seed in the South-West Conference playoff race. Bevilacqua then notched three points to tie for the team lead among rearguards as the Jr. Sabres stretched the first place Georgetown Raiders to seven games in the opening round of the playoffs.
