Robson leads Toronto Patriots to shutout victory over Oakville

Mathew Robson was superb between the pipes for the Toronto Patriots Patriots, as he did not allow a goal in a 2-0 victory over the Oakville Blades.

The win gave Toronto Patriots a 1-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Patriots were led by Jeremy Pullara, who had one goal. Pullara scored 1:34 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Patriots.

Toronto Patriots put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Oakville to score on any of its four power plays.

Toronto Patriots also got a goal from Marcus Rose as well. In addition, Toronto Patriots received assists from Nicholas Ursitti and Louis DiMatteo, who contributed one each.

Mathew Robson made 29 saves for the Patriots on 29 shots. Toronto Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Blades' Daniel Mannella stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Oakville incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
