Oakville Blades forward Max Lindsay (photo credit - Kevin Sousa/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the University of Toronto Varsity Blues beginning with the 2015-16 OUA season.

A bit of a late bloomer, Max was undrafted at the OHL level out of minor midget before growing to his current 6’2 frame. He would spend a year playing Midget AAA with the Hamilton Bulldogs before joining the Stoney Creek Warriors of the GOJHL. Playing in Stoney Creek, Max caught the attention of the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL earning a free agent contract where he would spend the next year and a half on the same team as NHL #1 and 3 overall draft picks Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathon Drouin ultimately winning the 2013 Mastercard Memorial Cup.

This past season, Lindsay made his OJHL debut with the Blades, bringing tremendous skill and two-way help to a young team. A physical presence with great hands, Lindsay scored 11 goals and 24 points 42 games as a Blade, adding an extra four goals and six points in 12 playoff games against Orangeville and Toronto earlier this year.

Max will join U of T this September, and plans to study social sciences and economics starting this fall. We would like to wish Max the best of luck in his OUA future!
