St. Michael's Buzzers netminder George Argiropoulos (photo credit - Brian Watts/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Lake Forest College Foresters beginning with the 2015-16 NCHA season.

The Toronto, Ontario native finishes his career a a four year veteran of the OJHL, having spent three of his four season as a member of the Buzzers.  Argiropoulos made the jump to Junior 'A' hockey in 2011-12 out of The Hill Academy, joining the Milton Icehawks.  After a rocky start and only playing in six games, he was moved on to the Vaughan Vipers where he would start to make a name for himself, posting a 7-1-0 record in 11 games played with a spectacular 1.82 goals against average.  Unfortunately the Vipers would go out in the first round of the playoffs and following the season, the club suspended operations.

Argiropoulos would be picked-up by the St. Michael's Buzzers and the timing couldn't have been better.  Although playing a back-up role to one of the league's best netminders, Adrian Ignagni, he was along for the ride as the club went on to capture the 2012-13 OJHL title with a game seven victory over the Newmarket Hurricanes.  Ultimately the Buzzers fell in the Dudley-Hewitt Cup championship game to Minnesota of the SIJHL, but took their place in the OJHL record books with their tremendous season.

Over the past two seasons, Argiropoulos has continued to play a more prominent role between the pipes for the Buzzers, playing 31 and 41 games respectively, while posting 15 and 18 victories for the club.

Congratulations to George on the commitment and best of luck in the NCAA!
