FERRARO COMMITS TO MANHATTANVILLE
St. Michael's Buzzers defenceman Marco Ferraro (photo credit - Andy Corneau/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Manhattanville College Valiants beginning with the 2015-16 ECAC West Conference season.
The Toronto, Ontario native has playd the past three seasons as a member of the Buzzers after playing a single game in 2011-12 as an affiliate from the Toronto Titans Midget 'AAA' program.
Joining the club full-time in 2012-13, Ferraro would record five points in 25 games played during his rookie campaign and then play another 12 post-season contests en route to helping the Buzzers capture the 2013 OJHL Championship with a thrilling seven game series victory over Newmarket. Although they came up just short at the regional Dudley-Hewitt Cup tournament, falling to Minnesota in the championship, it was a fantastic welcome to junior hockey for Ferraro.
The past two seasons has seen Ferraro become a stabilizing force on the blueline, while also increasing his offensive production to 13 and 16 points respectively. Although not tasting team success since the championship season, Ferraro earned the notice of scouts and the commitment to play NCAA hockey.
Congratulations to Marco and best of luck at Manhattanville!
