Oakville Blades defenceman Jeff Clarke (photo credit - Tim Bates/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the St. Lawrence University Saints beginning with the 2018-19 ECAC season.

The 17-year old Komoka, Ontario native joined the Blades this season out of the GOJHL and has been a stabilizing force on the club's back-end.  Clarke was a member of the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs Minor Midget 'AAA' program in 2014-15, where he helped them earn a spot at the prestigious OHL Cup Tournament that season.  Following the season, he won a silver medal with Team Minor Hockey Alliance at the 2015 OHL Gold Cup and was then selected by the London Knights in the 6th round, 120th overall, of the 2015 OHL Priority Selection.  Clarke would join the nearby Strathroy Rockets Junior 'B' squad that off-season and notched four points in 50 games played, including 122 penalty minutes.  He brought that rugged play to the OJHL this season, while also providing a more offensive game, already having posted 8 points in just 24 regular season contests thus far.

Congratulations to Jeff on the achievement and best of luck in the rest of his OJHL career!
