PANETTA COMMITS TO COLGATE
Wellington Dukes’ rookie centre Daniel Panetta (photo credit – Ed McPherson,OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the Colgate University Raiders beginning with the 2020-21 season.
The native of Belleville joined the neighbouring Dukes this year after playing for the Quinte Red Devils AAA organization.
Daniel had two goals and eight assists in first 30 games with Wellington.
An older brother, Jacob, is in his sophomore season at Colgate. Jacob played three seasons in Wellington.
The Panettas are cousins of two-time Stanley Cup champion Andrew Shaw, now a member of the Montreal Canadiens.
