KINGSTON'S MURPHY COMMITS TO WISCONSIN SCHOOL
Matt Murphy of the Kingston Voyageurs (photo credit – Ian Dixon/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the NCAA D3 Northland College LumberJacks in Ashland, Wis. beginning with the 2018-19 season.
The native of London joined the Vees afer a season with the Ogden Mustangs in Utah. He also played junior hockey for the Burlington Cougars in the OJHL and the Jr. B Welland Jr. Canadians.
The 5-foot-11 defenceman had 13 points in 52 games last season in the OJHL.
Northland’s LumberJacks and LumberJills play 15 varsity sports and compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. Ashland is a port on Lake Superior.
