NEWMARKET'S GOEREE COMMITS TO NCAA FREDONIA
Matt Goeree of the Newmarket Hurricanes (photo credit – Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the State University of New York at Fredonia Blue Devils beginning with the 2018-19 season.
The native of Ada, Michigan joined the Hurricanes midway through the 2017-18 season from the Burlington Cougars. Now 21, he also played for the Cobourg Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Prior to his OJHL career, Goeree played for the Chicago Fury U18 team.
The 6-foot-3, 198-pound forward had 56 points (23G, 31A) in 129 OJHL games
