SAMPSON COMMITS TO ILLINOIS SCHOOL

Brayden Sampson of the Toronto Junior Canadiens (photo credit – Ryan McCullough/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the NCAA Division III Aurora University Spartans in Illinois beginning with the 2018-19 season.

The 21-year-old’s Ontario Junior Hockey League career included playing parts of four seasons with his hometown Oakville Blades, then two years with the Jr. Canadiens. He played minor midget with the AAA Brampton 45’s.

Sampson had 87 points (11G/76A) in 153 career OJHL games.

During the 2017-18 season, he had two goals and 23 assists.
