Kingston Voyageurs netminder Charlie Finn (photo credit - Ian MacAlpine/Kingston Whig-Standard) received his OJHL Gongshow Gear Goaltender-of-the-Month Award prior to the club's game on Thursday night versus the Lindsay Muskies.

On-hand for the presentation was OJHL Commissioner Marty Savoy (left) and Voyageurs Governor Dr. Dijana Oliver.  Finn was presented with his commemorative award and will also receive an apparel package courtesy of Gongshow Gear, the Official Hockey Lifestyle Apparel of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Finn would continue his impressive play this season, kicking out all 27 shots he faced to blank the Muskies 3-0 in the game and earn his league-leading eighth shutout of the season.  The Vees were paced by a two goal performance from leading goal scorer Ludlow Harris, while Francesco Vilardi added a single.

In other action, the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots kept their South Division aspirations alive by downing the Jr. Canadiens 3-2 during an afternoon contest at the MasterCard Centre (making up the game that was postponed due to the winter storm last Friday).  Meanwhile, the Stouffville Spirit and Newmarket Hurricanes hooked up in the 'Canes annual charity contest in support of Southlake Regional Health Centre, going to a shootout in what was a very important game for the home side in the race for the North Division title and second seed in the Conference for playoffs.  Michael Stevens would notch the game winner, on a nifty backhand deke in the sixth round of the shootout, however, the Hurricanes would still gain an all-important point in the standings to sit tied for first place with the Aurora Tigers.  The two division rivals meet tomorrow night in Aurora as the Tigers will honour current Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Mike Kostka with Mike Kostka Night at the Aurora Community Centre.
