Returning to the rink where he played on arguably one of the best Junior 'A' teams the country has ever seen, Mike Kostka was back in Aurora for the first time in 10 years.  Kostka would take part in the pre-game ceremony and sign autographs for many of the large crowd that was in attendance.

With a playoff type atmosphere for the important North Division first place match-up versus the archrival Newmarket Hurricanes, the game would not disappoint, with the two teams matching each other stride for stride.  The teams would be knotted at four after regulation and overtime, heading into a shootout, where the Tigers would take a stranglehold on first place in the North with a 5-4 victory on home ice.  Taylor McCloy would be named the game's 1st star with a two point performance, including the shootout-clinching goal, whilel teammates Dylan Sikura and Daniel Clairmont would be named the 2nd and 3rd stars respectively with two points apiece.

Tonight in Aurora, another special ceremony takes place, as the forward Robert Angiolella is honoured and presented with his Gongshow Gear North-East Conference Player-of-the-Month Award in a pre-game ceremony.
