12 OJHL ALUMNI NAMED TO ALL-SUNYAC TEAMS

Twelve former OJHL players were named to the 2012-13 SUNYAC All-Conference Teams recently, including five of the six 1st Team All-Conference players.

1st Team All-Conference

F - Luke Moodie (Oswego State) - Oakville, 2004-06 & 2007-09

The Burlington, Ontario native played four years in the OJHL, all as a member of the Oakville Blades orgaization from 2004-06 and 2007-09.  He began his junior career as a 16-year old rookie, notching 11 points in 30 games played and by year four, he was the league's second leading scorer, finishing the year with 41 goals and 95 points in 49 regular season games played.  In between, Moodie helped the Blades win a league championship in 2007-08, defeating Markham four games to one in the final, as well as the Dudley-Hewitt Cup, before competing at the Royal Bank Cup National Junior 'A' Championship in Cornwall, Ontario.

F - Paul Rodrigues (Oswego State) - Vaughan/Toronto, 2005-09

The 24-year old native of Etobicoke, Ontario made the jump to junior hockey as a 16-year old member of the Vaughan Vipers in 2005-06, finishing fourth in scoring on the club with 43 points in 47 games played.  Rodrigues would spend three full seasons in Vaughan from 2005-08, recording 188 points in 138 regular season games played.  He would taste his greatest OJHL success in 2007-08, leading the OJHL with 61 assists, while finishing tied for the OJHL scoring lead with 98 points to earn South Division Most Valuable Player honours.  Following the season, Rodrigues joined the Jr. Canadiens and would again post impressive offensive numbers with 90 points in 53 games played to finish tied for sixth in the league scoring race.  Following his four year OJHL career, he made the jump to NCAA Division III hockey with the Lakers.

F - Jared Docking (Plattsburgh State) - Toronto, 2006-09
The native of Toronto, Ontario joined the Jr. Canadiens as an 18-year old and would pay immediate dividends, finishing fifth on the club in scoring with 17 goals and 36 points in 47 games played.  He would increase his offensive totals to 54 points the following year and then 80 points in 2008-09, finishing second in the club in scoring while serving as team captain.  He would record another 22 points in the playoffs as Toronto ultimately fell to Wellington in the Central Division Final.

D - Jack Caradonna (Geneseo State) - Markham/Stouffville, 2008-11
The native of Markham, Ontario played three seasons in the OJHL spit between his hometown Waxers and the Stouffville Spirit.  He would play two seasons in Markham from 2008-10, before tasting his most success in Stouffville during the 2010-11 season, leading the Spirit defensive corp in scoring with 41 points in 47 games played and earning his NCAA scholarship.

G - Mathieu Cadieux (Plattsburgh State) - Markham/Peterborough/Cobourg, 2006-09, 2010/11

After playing two games for the Markham Waxers in 2006-07 as an affiliated midget, the native of Oshawa, Ontario joined the Peterborough Stars full-time beginning in 2007-08.  The lanky netminder would post respectable numbers, consistently with a save percentage over .900, spending a year a half with the Stars before being moved to the nearby Cobourg Cougars.  Following the 2008-09 season, after being named to the OHA's All-Prospect Team, Cadieux accepted a scholarship opportunity to attend Quinnipiac University.  He returned to the Cougars in 2010-11, helping the club to their first plus-500 finish since 2004-05, before finally landing at Plattsburgh last season.
